Lens Flare Fun

"Mommy, Please..."

Every time we pass the purple building with a mouse's face on it,

Both boys say "Mommy, Please can we go to Chuck E Cheese"

Most of the time, the answer is, "Not today"

But today was one of the rare times they heard, "Yes!"

New Sweaters

Tia bought us new sweaters for Christmas...

So another photo shoot was in order.

Then a simple request of,

"Put your arms around each other"

turned into anger...

turned into violence...

I stuck my kids in front of a big blank canvas,

next to the sliding glass midday

broke out the new lens and used my portrait lens as it was intended.

I had my camera dial on 'M' or manual,

trying to force myself to learn how to use more efficiently.

These are my favorite types of photos...

really up close portraits.

But only kids seem to be willing,

everyone else is worried about wrinkles, zits or boogers :)

The trick is to get them laughing and you catch some good smiles...

his souvenir from his first ER visit.

Of course they're not always smiles...

this one is either big smiles or big cries...

this one is just a bit moody...

Christmas in San Diego

Our Lego Engineer got enough building materials

to keep him busy all Christmas day.

Kainoa & Optimus Prime...

And our resident Power Ranger was elated

with his mask and swords.

"I WUV IT!"

he exclaimed to Nana.

And Mr. Atreyu doesn't like to be left out.

The boys picked out candy cane shaped bones for him.

He loved them.

These two are buddies,

One is affectionate,

the other is just tolerant.

You can tell by the face, who is who.
