Hikey Hiking

Trying to enjoy the last days of summer
before school starts regulating our schedule...

We braved the 10 minute hike to the Nojoqui Falls
Fun, fun running around with your friends,
"Just stay on the path and don't touch any plants."
The words used to encourage the kids to avoid poison oak,
or else... "You'll DIE!"
Or so says Oni

These lush falls are actually not so...
being in the constant drought threatened California...
but a good time nonetheless

This was the best shot of the two... not sure what smells :)
Hiking Smiles

We ate lunch at a park nearby after the hike,
which finished off a good outing with friends :)

Carousels and Cotton Candy

County Fair time...
Plane and Carousel Rides...

Dart Games and Sea Star Prizes...
Kettle Corn and Cotton Candy

Happy Boys

Red, White and Blue

On the 3rd of July,
we went to a "4th" of July Food and Fun Party.
Our friends made the cutest Patriotic colored treats.

There were fun crafty crafts...
Popsicle stick American Flags for the kiddos

And the Mommies got to make
these embellished T-shirts...
So cute!
Fun, Fun, Fun
On the actual 4th of July, we had a BBQ at our place with the Family.
Then we lit off a few small fireworks in the backyard.
I love how much the kids enjoyed the simple display
Boys love a good explosion :)

Nana's Visit

"When is Nana Coming?"
This question took the place of Oni's usual daily question of...
"How many more days until my birthday?"

Nana made the drive from SD to visit and play with us.
We went to the bouncy house and MacDonald's.
We had some fun in the sun at the beach
We checked out the smelly animals at Avila
We love playing with Nana
and now the question is:
"When are we going to Nana's house?"
