Better not Blink...

Once upon a time,
we had a little diaper-wearing, toothless,
carefree One year old...
Then we blinked...

Now our big... 5 year old, (!!)
with Star Wars shoes
and a Transformer backpack,
is ready to start his school career.
Here's to the beginning of teachers, friends,
reading, writing, homework, studying,
math, history, science experiments,
speeches, presentations, tests,
fundraisers, back-to-school nights,
and all other elements related to school.

I better not blink again, or I'll be standing...
actually,
probably more like crying...
 at this kid's
high school graduation before I know it...

3 Hour Tour

Trying to get better at iMovie...
Here's our 3 hours walking around
Downtown San Diego...
Condensed into 3 minutes
(Excuse the shaky camera work
and amateur editing skills...
I'm learning... slowly)

For the Love of San Diego

Shortly after leaving San Diego,
I realized how much I loved it...
Well, actually I'm in love it.
The big buildings, the bay, the trolley,
the beaches, the boardwalk, the LG,
the hills, the trails, the Zoo, the Mexican food...
I could go on for a long time, but you get the point.

Here are some photos of
my city the way I like to see it...

Obviously San Diego has my favorite city skyline...
Every Home Padres/Chargers sporting event on TV,
I relish the shots of the city buildings all packed together,
especially lit up in the dark.
Someday I'll be able to take postcard worthy photos,
but for now
Here's a shot, I took on a hazy morning
off of Shelter Island with the buildings of downton in the background.

My Grandpa John was in the US Navy...
So I'm fond of the Naval History in SD.
This shot taken off of Coronado Island,
has a Naval ship in the background.

I love almost all areas of the city,
even the parts some would consider "ghetto"
One such place is Barrio Logan
These shots are from the murals in Chicano Park.

If I owned big slabs of concrete,
I'd paint big vibrant murals too.

Last is a shot of my favorite little people...
in my favorite city
The boys in front of the Ball Park

We have love for SD always.
