Another year, a new reflection...

As I quickly approach 30, 

which I don't mind,

I'm actually looking forward 

to putting my 20's behind me. 

[Thirty is where it's at.]

But anyway, September 4th rolls around 

and I could let it pass as just another day...
but the fun women I consort with on a regular basis
made me a delicious lunch.

So as I turned 29, I reflected not so much 

on where I've been, but my life right now.

Although family is irreplaceable...
(and is the focus of this little blog,
and most of my posts)

It's becoming more and more apparent
how important friends are to me.

And I'm so grateful for the cohorts I have.

They make this little agricultural part of California awesome.

Now I'm not sure if the rumor is true... 

about women being catty and jealous.

But I know our little group of chicas is anything but. 

We don't compete with one another 

or try to one up each other.
We don't put on a perfect front
at workouts, park days or play dates.

We never shy away from our faults or struggles
and find strength in sharing stories of overcoming them.

They are always there with a hand or shoulder if needed.

They support me and inspire me to be better. 

 To be healthy, happy and strong.

To be a better mother, wife and friend.

I feel more and more blessed each day
for the amazing women I call "Friends".
